However I attempted to reach
the sky with continuous prayer,
as if a prank, nothing but
time passes
hesitating at the unfading
fear and snare
I can't even judge what
is reality
However I continued that
scream till the voice wilts,
it disappears upon reaching
the cold castle walls
I'm prolonging sleep in
this long dream
Overwhelmed by the spiral
of a great wave
Fallen deep and far
into the dark sea,
unable to breathe
and
rendered motionless
The castle of time is
built with the fake
paradise!
The scream doesn't echo;
I'm am getting used to being lost ¹
I am realising!
These eyes that take in
the sky
reflect light that
is directed at the earth,
ready to convey
Above dreams that have become
ashes, rain falls
Without even doubting the
righteousness of it all, ²
Both sides are continually
wounded in love's name
The sacrificed
for whose sake, the
answer is being rewritten
If this is fate, are we to
but accept it as impossible?
Please tell me!
Happiness is, obtained through
continual seizure,
but naught, isn't
it?
Even brilliance is...
While offering a prayer to
God of All,
I'm rendered to a
halt, ³
Yet alone.
Above dreams that have become
ashes, rain falls
Not even realising that
my sins have turned to love
1 "samayou"
refers to the general lack of direction metaphorically, but it literally
means "to hesitate", or "to wander", so I chose to interpret it metaphorically.
2 "sore
ga seiki da" is referring to both both parties' thoughts. It implies that
both parties think that it is righteous; not that they haven't given it
much thought.
3 "rendered
to a halt" is used metaphorically; the original idea refers to one being
lost (thus rendered to a halt). Actually the whole idea is the feeling
of being lost while sending a prayer up. Go figure.
afternotes:
It reflects Hyde's
love songs very well, doesn't it? It seems to be an answer to the continuous
hurt, especially the phrase "sore ga seiki da"; mutual hurt is expected
of both lyrics. Oh, the beauty of HxT!
